Bad Homburg/Wuerselen, 20 October 2017 – Within the framework of an information event Amadeus Germany and Traveltainment presented the modifications for Amadeus Tour Market and the STADIS interface that are reasonable with regard to the EU Package Travel Directive to their customers and partners. In addition to these modifications additional fields will be integrated into the interface to improve the display in online distribution.
These days the customers’ and partners’ system houses receive the written documentation, so that they can start programming. This documentation only refers to the interface, not to the logic of the new processes for which the tour operators are responsible.
“A specification like the EU Package Travel Directive requires the collaboration of the entire industry, also and above all with regard to technology. Amadeus and Traveltainment gladly took the first step. We are very happy about the positive reactions,” says Uta Martens, General Manager at Amadeus Germany. “Now it is up to the tour operators to link the interface changes with their own business logics. I am sure that a whole thing will emerge from these steps and it will benefit all parties – through the joint standard also and above all the travellers.”
“Together with Amadeus we are currently developing the Amadeus Form Wizard to create the required forms,” says Dr. Oliver Rengelshausen, General Manager at Traveltainment. “We are planning to present it to initial partners in November.”
