Wuerselen, 17. September 2018 – Dynamically produced trips continue to become ever more popular. In the period from 1 January to 31 August 2018 the number of offers produced and distributed via Traveltainment Dynamic Packaging increased by 22 percent, the number of travel participants by 25 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The booking turnover grew by 23 percent on a similar scale. Consequently the travel price per booking increased by 0.2 percent, but the travel price per guest decreased by two percent.
“Dynamically packaged trips considerably gain popularity again, as the Traveltainment Dynamic Packaging figures prove,” says Bernhard Steffens, Managing Director at Traveltainment. “This is good news for the tour operators. For travel agencies growing volume and at the same time stable receipts mean: increasing commission income. Indeed the turnover per guest decreases, but this is only because the number of guests per booking grows. We currently register that the increases mainly come from online business – but it is also worthwhile for classic travel agencies to consider the X products for sale. The demand is obviously there. Which in turn motivates us to continuously further develop Traveltainment Dynamic Packaging.”
In fall 2018 Traveltainment will show how alternative flights can be displayed for desired holiday offers already prior to the booking request in a considerably more comprehensive way in future. So far this optional service has only been possible for dynamically packaged offers and after the vacancy check – now for all kinds of air trips alternative flights are already displayed prior to the vacancy check, provided that the offer contains flight alternatives. Both tour operators who package with Traveltainment Datamix and also tour operators who deliver their data in the OTDS format benefit from this opportunity.
Traveltainment presents Traveltainment Dynamic Packaging during Travel Expo in Cologne on September 18 and September 19, 2018 at booth D7, the joint booth of Amadeus and Traveltainment.
